The Patient Dashboard is used in Post Marketing Surveillance (PMS) studies. It provides information about the PMS study and lists the subjects and their current status in a simple grid form. The Patient Dashboard page displays patient data and enrollment information for the site.
You can do the following on the Patient Dashboard page:
The Patient Data display table summarizes the information for all subjects enrolled in the site. Each row provides information about a single subject. The columns represent information about the subject taken from the various forms or visit folders filled for that subject.
Note: The columns display, as well as, which field content to display in each column can be customized and will differ from trial to trial.
The Patient Data display contains the following starting columns:
Patient Code or Patient Name - The ID assigned to the subject for the trial. This is the default column for a Patient Data display and always display.
Patient Information - Selected fields from the Subject's enrollment form (For example:date started, age, gender, initials, and subject code).
Drug- The treatment drug or arm from the enrollment form.
Doctor - The name of the attending physician from the enrollment form.
The following columns reflect additional visits or event in the subject's trial participation schedule. The special color-coding shows status information for the relevant visit or column:
Enrollment - Enrollment shows color-coded enrollment status of the subject and the date of enrollment.
Note: In some systems the background colors for enrollment status may not display.
The following are possible statuses:
STATUS |
COLOR |
DESCRIPTION |
Entering |
Yellow |
Enrollment information is in the process of being entered. The subject has been created in Rave, but the Enrollment Form has not yet been filled. |
Pending |
Pink |
Enrollment is pending due to a query concerning enrollment information. |
Enrolled |
Turquoise |
Enrollment is complete as per enrollment criteria. |
Not Enrolled |
Gray |
Subject is not enrolled because enrollment criteria was not met. |
Both status and date are hyperlinks and take you to the Enrollment form.
Visit/Event folder - The Visit/Event folder shows color coded status of the event and a relevant date, if any.
The following are possible statuses:
STATUS |
COLOR |
DESCRIPTION |
Never Touched |
White |
The folder was created, but no data has been entered in any of its forms. |
Overdue |
Pink |
The folder was created, but no data has been entered in any of its forms, and the related event is overdue. |
Query |
Pink |
One or more Query statuses exist in the forms within this folder.
Note: Users must be assigned to one of the following EDC Role Actions: Answer Query, Close Query, Open Query, Cancel Query, and See Open Query to see Query visit status in Patient Dashboard. |
Entering |
Yellow |
The folder is still not considered complete. This may be because all data was entered but the 'page completion' flag was not yet set, or because data was entered and 'frozen' on this folder's forms, yet there are still open queries on the data. |
Finished |
Light Green |
All fields on the folder's forms have been filled. There are no open queries, or, if there are any open queries, the data in the folder is 'frozen'. |
Completed |
Light Green |
The visit or folder is complete. All fields are 'frozen' and there are no open queries on the forms. |
The date, if shown indicates the planned or actual date of the visit or event. Planned dates are shown in gray (for example: 2013/09/02), and actual dates are shown in regular color, for example 2013/09/02.
Note: For scheduled visits, the date is the actual or target date defined for that visit, if one was set. For unscheduled visits, the date is the predefined field from the visit form. For example, the date can be set to the Dosage Start Date field in the Enrollment form.
Both statuses and dates are hyperlinks, and take you to the relevant visit or event forms.
Withdrawn - shows 'Y' (Yes) if the subject has been withdrawn from the study or 'N' (No) otherwise. The 'Y' status is also a hyperlink that will take you to the relevant form.
You can sort the Patient Data display by any of the columns which were configured for sorting. A default sort is also defined for the grid. For example, the default sort in the above example was configured as the Enrollment form column.
Click on the column header you wish to sort by. Only column headers which are shown as a hyperlink are configured for sorting. The Patient Dashboard display sorts the column in ascending order.
To reverse the sort order, click on the same column header again. The Grid sorts in descending order. For example, if the Patient Data display was sorted in ascending order based on the Drug column, clicking on the Drug Column Header again will sort the grid in descending order.
Select Refresh. Any search filters used in the past are cleared.
Select Print Dashboard to print a dashboard view of the display.
