Disable eLearning Requirements
[Rate this topic]

Current access to Rave is based on eLearning requirements in conjunction with instructor-led training. Access to each of the Studies assigned to the user will only be available if he or she passes the assigned eLearning classes for that study.

The following two scenarios hold true when eLearning is assigned together with or without Instructor-led training:

By default, eLearning is enabled for all new users. A User Administrator can disable any eLearning requirements for the user in the User Details page.

Note: An externally authenticated user navigating to Rave from iMedidata  will not see courses taken or assigned in iMedidata.  Users assigned to eLearning courses can view and complete them only in iMedidata.

To disable eLearning assignments for the user

  1. Select and launch the User Administration module from the list of modules on the Rave home page.

  2. Search and locate an existing user for whom you want to override any assigned eLearning courses.

  3. Click the drill-down icon to view the User Details for an existing user.

eLearning assignment information for the User Role will appear in the eLearning section of the User Details page.

Note: If a course is a pre-requisite for another course but is not explicitly assigned to that role, the course will be listed as "Pre-requisite".

  1. Select courses you want to disable for the Study: Role and check the Override check box.

Note: The "Override" check box is disabled for any eLearning course that has been completed and certified.

  1. Click Update to save the information in the system. The next time you log in to Rave, the requirement to complete the course prior to accessing the Study will not display.

  2. Click Cancel to undo the changes.

  3. To reassign the course back to the Study: Role, uncheck the Override check box.
