  1. Navigate to the EDC home page.

  2. Select a Study.  The Study page displays a task summary for the selected study. Each task entry in the summary shows a count of all the entities that are one level below the current level, at the site level.

Note: A collapse or expand icon next to the Task Summary label gives the user an option to collapse the entire list. Collapsing the list during routine use of EDC significantly improves page response time. Default setting displays the collapse icon and the task summary list.

  1. Click the expand icon for the selected task summary to view the detailed task list. An item on the task list includes the Site name. The tasks are paginated for each task category.

Note: The task summary only includes sites that are within the user's site group assignment.

  1. Click on the Site link to view task summary by subjects.

  1. Click collapse  to collapse the list.

  1. Click pop up to view an expanded task list in a pop up window.

The pop-up window displays subject name and folder name-form name. The task list in the pop up window refreshes every time a form is saved.  If a task no longer applies to a form, the task is removed from the list and the page count is updated.

  1. Click a Subject name to go to the form page.

Rolling up data points status

The status of the data points on the form determines which icons appear next to the site on the study page. Before displaying the status of the sites, Rave checks if a status is out of date.  If a status is out of date, it checks to see what percentage of the object's children, subjects, folders, forms are out of date.  If it is below or equal to a certain configured threshold, it performs a status rollup as usual.  If it is above the threshold, the status of the site is marked as Unknown . The study rollup is deferred for processing later, since too many of the study's children are out of date. You can refresh the status when the summary is rebuilding.
