Using XML in Markings

You can enter a combination of attributes and Extensible Markup Language (XML) tags in markings to enter a text or link to a datapoint, datapage, or URL.

 

The following markings accept markup tags:

Linking to a data page, data point, or URL

When linking to a data page, data point or URL, specify a combination of attributes and XML tags.  For example, enter:

 

<core:link text='datapoint.uservalue' formoid='demographics' folderoid='screening' fileoid='mdbdt'/>

 

to link to the Demographics form in the Screening folder. For text, it displays the User value of the data point on the Demographics form with the FieldOID of ' mdbdt'.

Note: If you enter an incorrect step in the marking tag (For example, enter a folder that does not exist), the system cancels that step.
