Field Edit Checks

The form and the field can both have system generated simple field edit checks. These edit checks can be viewed in the Architect module Edit Check designer.  They are not editable and display as infix only.

You can configure seven simple field edit checks:

 

To configure simple field edit checks for the new field

  1. Click the arrow icon for the Field Edit Checks setting for the new field.

The Field Edit Checks field definition window displays a list of field edit checks you can configure and a check box for each edit check.

 

 

  1. Check box Auto-Query for required data entry field edit check.

The system automatically generates a query to the designated marking group when this field is left empty on the eCRF.

  1. Check box Auto-Query for non-conformant data field edit check.

The system automatically generates a query to the designated marking group when this field is set to be non-conformant on the eCRF.

  1. Check box Auto-Query for future date/time field edit check.

The system automatically generates a query to the designated marking group when the date entered in the field is in the future.

  1. Enter a numeric value in the Auto-Query for data out of range Low field edit check.

The system automatically generates a query to the designated marking group when the data entered in the field is less than the Low value.

  1. Enter a numeric value in the Auto-Query for data out of range High field edit check.

The system automatically generates a query to the designated marking group when the data entered in the field is higher than the High value.

  1. Enter a numeric value in the Mark non-conformant for data out of range Low field edit check.

The system automatically set the data to non-conformant when the data entered in the field is less than the Low value.

  1. Enter a numeric value in the Mark non-conformant for data out of range High field edit check.

The system automatically set the data to non-conformant when the data entered in the field is higher than the High value.

The system updates the field edit check requirements for the field. You can view the system generated edit checks in the Architect Module Edit Check Designer.

To remove an edit check

 

  1. Deselect the Simple Field Edit Check option.

The system inactivates the Edit Check.
