Screen Failure Rates Report
[Rate this topic]

This metric category page presents the following charts:

Screen Failure Rates – Presents the percentage of subjects that failed screening relative to the total number of subjects whose screening assessment are completed in a study. Each bar represents the screen failure rate for the given site or site group in the study. The X-axis represents study hierarchy based on the value selected from the View Rates By dropdown menu. The Y-axis represents the percentage of screen failure rates. The metric may be computed at site, site group, study levels, and for a given date. The formula used to compute the metric is as follows:

100 * Count of Screen failed subjects / (Count of Screen failed subjects + Count of Enrolled subjects)

Where Screen failed subjects are the subjects that terminated their study participation during the screening phase of the study. The Enrolled Subjects are the Rave subjects that have been enrolled or randomized to an active study phase.

When you select Site from the View Rates By dropdown menu, multiple bars appear in the report page. Every bar represents screen failure rate for a site.

Screen Failure Data – Presents the cumulative count of subjects that are enrolled, screened, and screen failed. In addition, the chart presents the percentage of subjects that failed screening relative to the total number of subjects whose screening assessment are completed in a study. This helps in assessing the screen failure for the selected study and across site groups or sites.

For both charts in the page, the start date in the Status Date filter is the first date when either Enrolled or Screen Failed statuses are observed in the study and the end date is the last date that any subject is enrolled or screened. This filter allows for the modification of the study time over which the screen failure rates are computed on both the reports.
